A painting costing £300 would therefore cost £9.00 per month, or £54.00 for 6 months (the minimum period). Example: A company with a monthly budget of £100 could lease 12 paintings at an average value of £275 or 6 at an average value of £500. In common with other office refurbishment costs, the costs of leasing art works are tax deductible. If the work is subsequently purchased, either by the company or by an individual, a discount of 5% is given.
